Here I am editing this post and hearing Shrek play for the hundredth time. Shrek remains the only movie memorable for a gingerbread man. I got my stamping plates about 3 months ago, and I am finally using them to do this blue and brown hearts and gingerbread man nails. I don’t think you have to wait ’til Christmas to do gingerbread man nails, right? 😀
I wanted my pointer nail to have some texture since the other nails have some design element going on, so I put on the Sally Hansen Sugar Shimmer Textured Nail Color ~ Mint Tint before the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss, Toasted Almond to give the brown nail polish texture.
The rest of nails were painted with Wet n’ wild Putting on Airs which is a light blue nail polish. I used 2 coats and the application is very difficult as it’s streaky.
I stamped the Sannysis Nail Stamping Printing Plate (the hearts) with my Sannysis Transparent Nail Art Stamping Stamper Scraper using the brown nail polish, Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss, Toasted Almond on my ring finger.
Yup, that’s my Samsung s4 mini you can see reflected 🙂
I used my Christmas stamping plate and the brown nail polish to stamp the gingerbread man on my middle finger:
For the little finger, I put on this heart nail guide:
I then painted over the heart nail guide with Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss, Toasted Almond and this is the result:
I finished by topping more than an hour later with the Sally Hansen Dries Instantly Top Coat:
I love how blue and brown looks together.
Talk to you soon!
